Treating Disorders with Neurofeedback Training

Any disorder that has it's origins in brain dysfunction can potentially be helped by training the brain to regulate itself more appropriately (neurofeedback).

It is well known that the brains capacity to develop new neural networks continues throughout it's life and there is a wealth of clinical evidence to support it's effectiveness across a broad spectrum of applications.

Disorders such as anxiety, depression, stress, migraine, obsessive compulsive and addictive behaviours all fall within this category. Similarly specific learning difficulties such as Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Behavioural and attention problems such as ADHD, ADD, Asperger's and other Autistic spectrum disorders can also benefit from improvements to brain self-regulation.

The linked site here provides an alphabetical list of disorders with links to websites providing more detail about individual applications of Neurofeedback.

The Brain Training Institute will be guided by the presence of abnormal activation patterns determined via assessment. Each training plan is based on the individual and addresses particular activation patterns rather than simply targeting a diagnosed condition.
